Counselling for Bexley, Bexleyheath, Sidcup and the surrounding areas
How can Counselling help me ?
Most people will find that they find benefit to having a space for them to reflect, discuss and to use just to focus on themselves. I have worked with many people suffering from depression, anxiety, stress, self harm, relationship issues, bereavement and loss, Pet bereavement, illness, chronic pain, chronic fatigue - I have a specialist interest in B12 deficiency and Pernicious Anaemia.
I believe that most people can benefit from having a private space in which to express themselves. To gain greater clarity and understanding of themselves, others and their lives. To help reduce emotional pain and distress. To fee more fulfilled, content and happier in your life.
What happens in the first session ?
We meet at a prearranged time for our appointment. This is where I ask you to explain a little about what prompted you to seek help. A lot of people don't know where to start and that's ok. We can work together to understand what it is you need and we can prioritise this too. As an individual, each person may need slightly different things. Its also very normal to feel nervous! Hopefully, within a short space of time you will feel more at ease.
I ask for some details about where you live, any medications or conditions that you may have. We can then discuss how me may work together. This is your time and I would encourage you to ask any questions that you may have. It is important to me that you feel heard and listened to.
You'll probably be surprised at how quickly the first appointment goes and many people have said that have they felt relieved at how easy things were. If we both feel that we are able to work together we then arrange our next appointment.
Due to the way in which counselling works, a regular weekly appointment is ideal so that you can gain the most benefit out of your appointments.
I am happy to discuss fees for training based on your requirements.
All fees are payable at the end of each session via cash or cheque. If you wish to pay via bank transfer I ask that you do this prior to our appointment please - Thank you.
